Who Am I?
I would like to think it started with a wall crawling warrior, but to my surprise, it started with a pancaked opossum on the side of the road…
I have been creating art since I was a kid, doodling superheroes in note books and dreaming of putting my stamp on the comic book industry. Little did I know at the time was that about twenty years later I would be predominantly drawing opossums… dead ones at that. You see, the older I have become and the more the weight of world would loom over and the more I found that I could not as easily escape reality in the pages of comics as I once had. Instead, with the help of my partner, I would escape to the mountains, traversing the winding dirt roads as the miles chip away at my car. It was on one of those magical trips that I noticed something I would normally overlook and it appeared as lifeless as I had felt at the time, the not so might opossum. As I joked to my partner about the furry flat critter during the drive I didn’t realize that it would be all I think about for that entire trip, as well as when I would inevitably return home and head back to work. In fact, that small cold marsupial would dictate everything I do up to this point, I mean damn, I am writing my “about” page around the thing. So who am I? I don’t know, some jackass who draws opossums.
Sincerely,
JP… or the guy in the picture
